the shoegaze modulation for dreamlike tone, for the first time faithfully captured in a pedal. instead of single-voiced modulation, soft nostalgia is a multi-voiced chorus, that when blended with dreamgazer’s reverbs, creates an ethereal effect utilised by shoegazers since day one. in a world first, this modulation is available for use with not only dreamgazer's forward reverb, but its two reverse reverb modes.

sample rate

a unique feature of maneco labs’ pedals. adjusting the sample rate knob as sound is playing creates shoegaze swirls. blissfully spirally. a rare glitch effect similar to the vintage gems of our shoegaze secrets series. sample rate controls the frequency operation for the whole pedal. lower sample rates allow for more lofi & nostalgic sounds, touching on the early ages of digital technology. lowering this control also slows down the whole effect, creating dreamy shoegaze meditations.

each mode in dreamgazer can be blended to be 100% wet {effected-signal only} which is a requirement of the shoegaze genre {says we}.

12 bit

did we mention that dreamgazer is 12 bit? authentically lofi. the gems of our shoegaze secrets series tend to be somewhere between 8-16 bit. so, this is the sweet spot. an essential part in creating a completely unique effect pedal that in essence captures sonic memories.

shoegaze engineering

to avoid the shortcomings often associated with modern dsp pedals & canned solutions {thin & sterile sounds} dreamgazer is precisely engineered at each stage. signal-wise there’s an analog path with pre-emphasis, low pass filtering, compression, before any digital processing. this precise engineering is what is lacking from modern pedals & is a key part of the authentic sounds dreamgazer creates. by avoiding the use of modern dsp & canned solutions, features like analog modulation & variation of the global sampling rate are achieved. this allows dreamgazer to create warm walls of encompassing shoegaze.

first ever front-of-chain reverb

dreamgazer is the first reverb pedal designed to be at the front of your chain. this is great for creating shoegaze music & vast walls of noise. that’s not to say dreamgazer won’t work elsewhere in your chain {middle, end, wherever} we just enhanced the pedal for front-of-chain use as that’s how we use reverb the most.
